The Route 66 Title Competition
More than a title, the Route 66 competition is celebration of knowledge, leadership and legacy.
The Route 66 Leather Title Family was founded with a vision of creating a title system that celebrated the diversity, strength and resilience of the Leather and kink communities throughout the Nation. Named after the historic Route 66 highway that connects communities across the country, the title family was built on the belief that Leather is strongest when we create opportunities for education, service and connection. Rather than representing a single city or organization, Route 66 was designed to bring together individuals from many different communities, backgrounds and experiences while fostering collaboration and growth.
Today, the Route 66 Leather Title Family consists of five titles:
Mr Route 66 Leather
Ms Route 66 Leather
Route 66 Bootblack
Route 66
Pet
Route 66
Bear
The 2026 Route 66 Title Family
While each title celebrates a unique identity and perspective, all of our titleholders share a common commitment to service, education and representation. Route 66 titleholders are encouraged to actively engage with their local communities, support charitable causes, teach and serve as ambassadors for Leather values throughout their title year.
The Route 66 contest is more than a competition. It is an opportunity for individuals to challenge themselves, develop leadership skills and contribute to the continued growth of the Leather community.
From coast to coast and everywhere in between! As a national competition, we are proud to bring together incredible people from across the country, each adding their own little bit of magic to the Route 66 family.

Our Titleholders in the Community
The Route 66 Title Competition is built on the belief that education is the cornerstone of a stronger, more connected community. Our titleholders are more than representatives wearing a sash or medallion. They are educators, advocates and community leaders who share their knowledge, celebrate our diversity and inspire others to grow.
Throughout competition weekend, contestants have the opportunity to showcase their personalities, passions and dedication to community through interviews, stage presentations and educational opportunities. With education at the heart of our competition, contestants for the Mr., Ms., Pet and Bear titles prepare and teach a class on a topic they are passionate about, sharing their knowledge with attendees and demonstrating their ability to educate and engage. Our Bootblack contestants showcase their skills on the stand.
A Route 66 title is more than something you earn. It's something you give back. Throughout their title year, our titleholders travel, teach, serve and represent the communities they love. We aren't simply looking for someone who can shine on stage. We're looking for individuals ready to make a difference long after the contest weekend ends.
If you have a passion for education, a love for your community and a desire to leave something meaningful behind, we invite you to take the next step and apply to join the Route 66 legacy.
